Ripley Business Department is on a mission we want to make Business Studies more real and dynamic and have lots of input into the curriculum from you real people from real businesses!

And you could help?

“How?” I hear you say.

“Simple” we answer.  We want to get as many people who work for, manage or own organisations of any sort to be involved.  Whether it is a public sector organisation, a FTSE 100 company or the local corner shop we are interested.

“Well I have not got much time” we hear you say.

“No problems” we answer!  All we are asking is if you can commit to just donating 1 hour of your time in any academic year. (more…)

Mick Hoyle the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lancaster City Football Club came along to talk to the Year 12 Business students.  He talked about the changes that have taken place at Lancaster City over the past year which gave students an insight into the problems the club faced and waht the club aims to achieve in the future.

Mick a successful local business man also shared information about his personal businesses that includes Squires Snooker Club, a Post Office and a taxi business.  For those interested Mick left a number of free tickets for students and their families to attend the Lancaster City home game on the 6th October 2007 – if anyone is interested please see Mr Monaghan.
