Overview
The Ripley St Thomas Business Department offers a number of courses at GCSE and A Level that will appeal to students with different learning preferences.
At GCSE we offer a traditionl GCSE course that combines both exam and coursework and provides a good introduction to the world of business. We also offer Applied GCSE Business that again combines exam and coursework but is focused on a more investigative approach to business and this counts as two GCSEs.
At A Level we offer a similar mix to GCSE with a traditional A Level that offers a highly theoritical approach. The other option available is the Applied A Level approach where students can take either a single or dual award. The Applied course offers a mix of coursework and exam and again offers the students a more investigative approach to business.
The Department
The department has three full time members of staff with too many years experience between them. A little more information about the three members of staff will appear below.
